Our Motto: Love God, Love People, Make a Difference
Our Mission Statement: The Linton’s are Christian’s that honor God through acts of kindness towards others and building relationships in their community. They enjoy life and aim to make all those around them feel joy. They respect others in speech, love others in action, and make a difference in their community through volunteering and outreaches.
Our Story: Jason and Patience met in May 2006 on myspace.com on a mutual friend’s blog. They quickly struck up a friendship, and soon fell in love. They chose each other to spend the rest of their lives with and decided that if they were going to get married, they should probably meet each other. They met physically and knew this relationship was for forever. They got engaged later that year and got married on August 4, 2007.
Soon after their marriage began, they struggled with infertility. They tried many options under the guidance of a fertility specialist, but nothing helped. Finally, the doctor explained to them that it would literally take a miracle for Patience to get pregnant. Through their heartbreak and grief, Patience became determined to fulfill her dream of becoming a mother. Unbeknownst to Jason, she enrolled them both into a foster care and adoption class in Broward County, Florida where they resided. After the classes ended, every door seemed to slam shut for the two to pursue foster care. But the story doesn’t end there: Within three months of moving to Arlington, TX where Patience was offered a position at a church, they received their foster care license and their first placement, beginning their journey towards a family. Altogether they welcomed eleven children into their home over the course of about three years of doing foster care. Of those eleven children, eight of the children were placed back with their biological families while three stayed and were adopted by Jason and Patience.
Lillian was three days old when she moved in with the Linton’s, and Harper and Christian moved in just over a month later. Although it was difficult each time a foster child would leave because the great emotional connection between the child and Patience and Jason, they can see that their family unit, as unconventional as it is, is truly a miracle. And the bond and love they share with each other is one that will never be broken.
In September 2019, after learning new lingo of the students at the school where Jason was a para educator, he decided to begin his TikTok journey. Within a year of starting his TikTok account, he had over 500,000 followers, and now has over 6M followers. Patience began her TikTok journey in December 2019 and now has over 125,000 followers, and their daughter, Harper has over 40,000 followers. Their main focus is to bring positivity and community in a world where many followers may not otherwise have a sense of belonging. “We want people to feel like they belong to something bigger. We want people to feel like they are a part of this Life Tribe journey,” says Jason (aka DadLifeJason). “Because everyone deserves to belong,” added Patience (aka MomLifePatience).
Our Cause: With the knowledge that every hour 34 more individuals enter a life of sexual exploitation we are motivated to act. The human trafficking numbers continue to grow exponentially every year, with nearly 30 million estimated being exploited world-wide and 2 million within the United States.
THE LIFEGUARD GROUP is a group of experts committed to an aggressive, comprehensive approach to taking the fight to human trafficking.
There were 465,676 missing child reports made to law enforcement in 2016. Some were runaways, some were taken and still others seemed to simply vanish. Research studies have shown that 75% of those kids that end up on the street are approached by a pimp and/or a trafficker in the first 48 hours. Law Enforcement neither has the time nor the manpower to conduct missing kid searches. But THE LIFEGUARD GROUP can!
